We are pleased to welcome you to our Dive Centre in Hotel Onatti in El Quseir
We dive with you into the beautiful underwater world of the southern Red Sea. Join us on our beach excursions around El Quseir and Marsa Alam, spend a day on the dive boat, go snorkeling or just relax and dive with us at the house reef. Whether you are travelling alone, as a couple or as a group, are an experienced diver or just starting out. We will accompany you professionally on your diving adventure.
Housereef
You can easily reach our house reef via the jetty, where you can get ready at your leisure. Explore our house reef in the north and south and dive into the wonderful coral world.
In the small lagoon, we will show you for the first time how it feels to breathe underwater or start your diving course with you.
Please note that diving at the house reef is only possible when conditions permit. These are weather dependent due to the location.
Shore diving around El Quseir
Let us show you the best dive sites around El Quseir. The dive sites are suitable for all levels of divers, and most are also suitable for snorkelers.

Dive site : Big bay with easy entry. Sand lope 
which drops off to 40 m. On both side beautiful
coral gardens. A rope helps to enter and exit
this place. If you are interested in caves, this is a
perfect dive site for you.
Distance : Around 15 min in south of Quseir
Difficulty : Easy dive site. Perfect for snorkeling.
Dive site : Entry over the reef top through
small channels leading to a beautiful coral garden and cave.
Distance : Around 15 min in south of Quseir
Difficulty : Middle, not for snorkeling
Marine life : Beautiful anemone garden
Dive site : Entry, which leads through a canyon
to a coral reef. Beautiful reef especially in the
south with a nice coral garden. A rope helps
to enter and exit this place.
Distance : Around 20 min in south of Quseir
Difficulty : Middle, not for snorkeling.
Marina life : Some caves, big coral garden, sandeals
Dive site : Bay with sandy entry. The sandy
bottom is slow down going until 40 m on both
sides are coral gardens until 30 m. A rope
helps to enter and exit the dive site if there is a current.
On a pinacle there is a fire Anemone.
Distance : Around 10 min in north of Quseir
Difficulty : Easy, good for snorkeling
Dive site : The entry is on the reef top in a big
hole, followed by a labyrinth of canyons and
channels. Beautiful coral garden outside.
Distance : Around 20 min to north of Quseir
Difficulty : Middle, not for snorkeling
Dive site : The entry is on the reef top followed
by a labyrinth of canyons and channels. Into a
nice coral garden reach down to 25 m. At the
entry area you will find some impressive coral pinnacles.
Distance : Around 25 min to north of Quseir
Difficulty : For experienced divers
Dive site: Large bay, with easy accesses. The dive site slopes gently down to 25 meters. The seagrass meadows are home to a population of large sea turtles. With luck there is also a chance of seeing dugongs, rays and dolphins. There is a reef at the northern and southern end.
Distance: Around 30 min away from Port Ghalib and Marsa Alam
Difficulty: Easy dive site. Perfect for snorkeling.
Dive site: To get in, you walk over the reef top, until you reach a sandy area. Along the rocks, a path leads out to the reef. The wonderfully overgrown reef walls drop to 20 meters. Here you often find blue spotted stingrays, scorpion fish, turtles and sea needles.
Distance: Around 30 min norths of Quseir by bus.
Difficulty: Easy up to middle. A rope helps with the way out to the reef. Not for snorkeling.
Diverse dive: site with many beautiful coral gardens. In a depth of 30 meters there are many Anemones to see. In the sandy bottom you can find sand eels. The diving depths go from 8 to 40 meters.
Distance: Around 15 min. south of Quseir by bus.
Difficulty: Easy dive site, also for snorkeling
Dive site: This bay is surrounded by mangroves along the beach, which also reach underwater. There is a north and a south side, whereas the south side is diveable for us. In the middle there is a large seagrass meadow, where there is a chance for turtles.
Distance: About 30 min south of Quseir by bus.
Difficulty: Easy, also excellent for snorkeling.
Dive site: After a few min. with the speed boat you reach the big bay with seagrass. With luck, the Dugong is at home to snorkel with it. Also in the bay you find the big turtles.
Distance: About 45 min south of Quseir by bus.
Difficulty: Perfect for snorkeling and easy for diving.
Daily boat
Spend a day on the boat, do two dives and enjoy an excellent lunch. The dive sites are suitable for all levels of divers, and most are also suitable for snorkelers. Dive tours depart from Port Ghalib.

Difficulty : Easy, good for snorkeling
Dive site : Shallow bay with seagrass and
many blocks.
Distance : Around 45 min in south
direction from Port Ghalib
Difficulty : Easy, perfect for snorkeling
Dive site : Big bay with seagrass.
Starting from the shallow to a depth of
max 25 m, due to the shallow water.
Good light and strong colours of the marine life. With luck you will meet the dugong there

of Port Ghalib
Difficulty : Easy dive site.
Perfect for snorkeling
Dive site: There are several dive sites with beautiful, colourful reefs where there is a lot to discover down to 20 m. There are small caves and canyons, which captivate with their play of light. You can find countless reef fish and with luck also turtles.
Distance: Around 2 hours from Port Ghalib by boat.
Difficulty: Easy dive site, also for snorkeling.
Dive site: In the north there is a fringing reef covered with many hard corals. On the south side there are many overgrown blocks. At the anchorage there is a big mushroom shaped block that starts at 16 m and goes down to 40 meters.
Distance: around 60 min from Port Ghalib by boat.
Difficulty: Easy, great for snorkeling
Snorkeling: Enjoy one of the unique chance to swim and snorkel with the dolphins in Sataya.
Distance: around 100 min from Port of Hamata by boat.
Difficulty: Just for snorkeling, easy bay
Snorkeling: Visit the small Hamata Island, feel the sand under your feet and snorkel along the surrounding stunning reef.
Distance: around 40 min from Port of Hamata by boat.
Difficulty: Just for snorkeling
Dive site: The wreck lies at a depth of 11 to 32 metres and is still very well preserved from the outside and beautifully overgrown with corals and lots of marine life on it. Depending on the situation, it is allowed to dive in the hold. Here you dive in a place that demands great respect.
Distance: about 70 min from Safaga by boat
Difficulty: medium depending on the current, not suitable for snorkelers.
